Step 10: “Thinking outside of your box”. What is the box?

Where you are, is never who you are.

Everyone says: You have to think outside of the box. But no one talks about what is the box. How to think outside the box. I’m here to show you what is the box and how to get out of it. How to become limitless.

The perception of reality. How big is your reality?

Who is part of your reality, or better say, your environment?

  • Friends?
  • Family?
  • Relatives?
  • Neighbors?
  • Coworkers?
  • Media: TV, Radio, Ads, Internet, Social Media

How many people do you interact with within a day? How about in a year? Let’s say maybe 1000? Well, that is the box of your life. That is your universe. At least that is your belief system. But you also know for a fact that the Earth’s population is roughly 7.600.000.000.

That’s what thinking outside of the box means. Breaking the habit of being yourself, and putting yourself in the person that you want to become.

Who do you want to become? What are your dreams? What do you see yourself doing in the next year? How about the next 2 years? How about the next 5 years?

What job/business do you see yourself doing?

What relationship do you see yourself having?

Where do you see yourself traveling?

Where do you see yourself living?

What lifestyle do you have?

Who are your friends?

Do you go to concerts? Do you go to art galleries? Formula 1? Cinemas?

How do you spend your time?

With whom do you spend your time with?

Don’t forget. There are major and minor things in our lives.

Apply the 80/20 percent rule.

Only 20% of our actions drive the 80% of our results.

Learn to make it the other way around and your life will change overnight.

Action steps, if you want to improve your life:

  1. Spend a day, spend a weekend, spend one week. Be alone, no distractions. No social media. No internet. No calls. Don’t remind yourself of your current reality. You are trying to get out. You are trying to evolve into a better person. Isn’t it so? Otherwise, why are you still reading this?
  2. Write down on a piece of paper, for 30 days, your ideal day. Write it daily, and not only you will develop one of your higher faculties: Your imagination, but you will develop also another higher faculty: Your memory! Who are we without memory and imagination? We are no more than an animal.
